Who’d have thought you could learn to walk using the Alexander Technique! Of course, I’m not teaching people how to walk, we’ve been managing that since we were toddlers.
However, you can apply the Alexander Technique to your walking to improve the way you move.
We all have different gaits, but sometimes we can make hard work of walking, simply because it’s a learned habit. For example, putting our feet down heavily, or stiffening the arms (unconsciously) which in turn stiffens the legs.
From seasoned walkers to those of us who like the occasional stroll, the Alexander Technique can be of real benefit to us all.
